Yoko Ono: Season Of Glass (Reissue)

Yoko Ono is misunderstood, and as such is often parodied as a quack or a hack, and seen as the cause of The Beatles’ break-up. Season Of Glass’s album cover features the blood-stained glasses of John Lennon overlooking Central Park and the New York skyline beyond. Tracks like “Goodbye Sadness” and “No, No, No” open her up to more unwarranted scrutiny. But like other strong women, she has been undeterred by decades-long trolling, and Season Of Glass is an example of her ability to disregard the noise that is in the periphery and most assuredly will be at the forefront. She put her head down, poured herself into her work, threw caution to the wind, did not give a damn, and was punk as fuck, and the rest, as they say, is history.
